THE MOM BEHIND ALL OF THIS

Hi, I'm K.

Corporate leader. Mom of two boys. Zero tech background. Builder of an app, a blog, a garden, and at least one slightly crooked bookshelf.

THE STORY

I started this to prove moms could still do it all.

I started this blog after my first son was born. The idea was simple: prove that becoming a mom doesn't mean giving up who you are. The travel, the renovating, the homesteading, the career. All of it.

Here's the part nobody warned me about: doing it all AND documenting it all is actually impossible. Between a full-time leadership job, two boys, and a house that always needed something, the blog was the first thing to slide. I was about to quit entirely.

Then I found AI. And real talk, it changed everything. It streamlined my life, automated the boring parts, and gave me back enough time and mental energy to actually do the things I cared about. The blog was saved by AI. That IS the story.

But teaching moms to use AI tools built by tech companies only got me so far, because none of those tools were thinking the way moms think. So I did the most unreasonable thing possible: I built the app I couldn't find. No developers. No funding. A kitchen table, a laptop, and AI itself as my co-builder. That app is Kin, and it's live on iOS and Android right now.

We don't have a brand story. We have my story.
And it sounds a lot like yours.

Now I teach non-techy moms to use AI so they can actually do it all too. Not because I'm an expert looking down. Because I'm a mom figuring it out in real time and bringing you along.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The values behind everything.

Empowering

You are not behind. You are not doing too much or asking for too little. You are a woman running a household, a career, a family, and a version of yourself you are still fighting to hold onto. That is not a problem to be optimized. It is a life to be supported. We built Kin so the logistics of that life take less of you, and you get more of yourself back.

Authentic

Kin was not built in a boardroom by people who studied moms. It was built at a kitchen table, by one of you, at 11pm, between a permission slip and an email she'd been putting off for three days. We don't have a brand story. We have K's story. And it sounds a lot like yours.

Approachable

No mom should feel stupid for not knowing how something works. Not AI. Not technology. Not any of it. If you've ever closed a tab because it felt like everyone already knew something you didn't, this was built for that moment. We explain things the way a friend explains them: clearly, without judgment, and without making you feel like you should have asked sooner.

Educational

Handing someone a tool without teaching them how it works is only half the job. We want you to understand what's happening. Not because you need a lesson, but because the mom who knows how AI works is harder to overwhelm, harder to replace, and harder to stop. You don't just deserve the answer. You deserve to understand why it's the right one.
